Letter from the CEO
Dear Friends and Partners of the Dr. Piper Center,
It is a profound honor to step into the role of Chief Executive Officer at the Dr. Piper Center for Social Services. As someone who has long admired the transformative power of this organization, I am eager to build upon the incredible foundation laid by Dr. Ella Mae Piper—a visionary whose commitment to the children and seniors of Fort Myers continues to inspire us nearly a century later.
My career has been dedicated to bridging the gap between compassionate advocacy and rigorous organizational leadership. With an MBA and over 20 years of experience in social services, my goal is to ensure the Dr. Piper Center remains a beacon of hope. We will continue to strengthen our flagship programs—the Foster Grandparent Program, Senior Companion Program, EmpowerED, and Faith in Action—while exploring new avenues for empowerment and intergenerational connection.
The future is full of promises, and I am confident that, united, we will seize these opportunities and establish new benchmarks for success.
Thank you for your hard work, your trust, and your belief in our shared mission. Let’s step into the New Year with optimism, determination, and the knowledge that we are building something truly extraordinary.
With gratitude and excitement for the future,
Zabrina Black, MBA
CEO, Dr. Piper Center for Social Services
