Foster Grandparents Program

Share your heart. Change a life.
The Dr. Piper Center’s Foster Grandparents Program connects senior volunteers with at-risk children who need extra care, attention, and encouragement. Volunteers offer love, wisdom, and stability—while gaining purpose and joy in return.

Foster Grandparents serve 20 hours a week and receive a tax-free stipend, mileage reimbursement program, meals (where available).
More than 45 volunteers dedicate over 49,000 hours each year to mentoring 157 students facing challenges such as abuse, neglect, or learning difficulties.
More children than ever need a caring presence. If you’re ready to make a difference, click below to get started.
