Volunteer

Volunteers are the heart of our programs. We invite you to explore the ways that you can become an active participant with the Dr. Piper Center. Our volunteers are fulfilled by the work they do while making a direct impact in the lives of those in our community.

Volunteer Opportunities for Seniors (55+)

  • Senior Companions – Provide needed friendship and assistance to frail elders
  • Foster Grandparents – Make a difference in the lives of at-risk school-aged children
  • Faith in Action – Become a lifeline for seniors who need transportation to medical appointments and grocery shopping

Volunteer Opportunities for the Community

  • Special Event Volunteers
  • Fundraising Volunteers
  • Student Volunteers (18+)

Our board of directors and staff honor our volunteers annually at a volunteer recognition ceremony.

To become a volunteer, you must pass a criminal background screening. Income requirements may also apply for programs that provide a volunteer stipend.

You can also get involved via committee, such as an event committee, or board of directors.
