Casting a wide net, this network of charities, churches, and government agencies offers a variety of programs to those in need. Available assistance includes food banks, credit counseling, health care, utility payments, housing assistance, and job opportunities.

Senior Friendship Centers
These nonprofit centers in Southwest Florida meet the needs of people ages 50 and older and provide volunteer opportunities for all ages through the Friendship at Home and RELIEF programs.

Lee Health
Your Lee County health and wellness partner since 1916, Lee Health is an award-winning health care system with more than 1.5 million patient contacts each year. Lee Health provides specialized care at four acute care facilities as well as the award-winning Golisano Children’s Hospital.

The Dubin Center
The mission of The Dubin Center is to provide educational, informational, and supportive resources for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders and their caregivers.

Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida
The Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida (AAASWFL) is committed to connecting older adults and adults with disabilities to resources and assistance for living safely with independence and dignity. AAASWFL is the Florida Department of Elder Affairs’ designated aging and disability resource center for our region.

United Way of Lee County
A longtime partner and vast resource for organizations, United Way’s 211 program provides free information and referral to human/social service agencies in Lee, Hendry, Glades and Okeechobee counties.

AmeriCorps Seniors
AmeriCorps Seniors specializes in connecting adults ages 55 and over with the people and organizations that need them most. The organization focuses on teaching people to become mentors, coaches or companions to people in need or contribute their skills and expertise to community projects and organizations.

Meals on Wheels
The Meals On Wheels Association of America is the oldest and largest national organization composed of and representing local, community-based Senior Nutrition Programs. Meals on Wheels programs are designed to meet the nutritional and social needs of seniors.

Hope Hospice PACE
Hope PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care) is a health and community-based home care solution for seniors who want to remain independent and living in their homes. Participants receive all of their health care services through Hope PACE.

Community Cooperative
The mission of Community Cooperative is to eliminate hunger and homelessness in Lee County while simultaneously inspiring and supporting sustained positive change by delivering innovative food, education and social service programs.

Florida Department of Children and Families
The largest children’s care organization in the state, the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) has adopted an integrated approach to programs and services working to improve the lives of individuals and families. DCF works in partnership with communities to protect the vulnerable, promote strong and economically self-sufficient families, and advance personal and family recovery and resiliency.
